Meet The Founder & CEO, Sophia White
Lymph Connection was founded by Sophia White, a certified lymphedema therapist (CLWT-LANA) based in Simcoe, Ontario. Sophia started her career in healthcare and kept seeing the same gap: people living with swelling and lymphatic issues who had nowhere to turn and no one who really understood what they were going through. So she built the place she wished existed.

Founder, Lymph Connection | LANA-Certified Lymphatic Specialist | Former National Medical Advisor, Essity Canada
Sophia White is the founder of Lymph Connection, a specialized lymphatic therapy and wellness clinic dedicated to delivering advanced, individualized, and evidence-informed care. With a distinguished career spanning clinical practice, national healthcare leadership, medical product development, and patient advocacy, Sophia brings a unique depth of knowledge and experience to the field of lymphatic health.
Sophia has advanced training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), lymphedema management, oncology-related lymphatic care, and pre- and post-operative rehabilitation. She holds specialized credentials through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA), reflecting her commitment to professional excellence and the highest standards of specialized lymphatic care.
For many years, Sophia served as the National Medical Advisor for Lymphedema Products and Programs at Essity Canada, where she played an important role in supporting the advancement of lymphatic healthcare across the country. Working alongside healthcare professionals, clinicians, and industry leaders, she contributed to professional education, clinical program development, and improved awareness of specialized lymphedema management.
Her expertise extended internationally through collaboration with Essity’s engineering and product-development teams in Germany, where she provided valuable clinical insight into the design, development, and practical application of lymphedema management products. This experience allowed her to bridge the gap between clinical practice, patient needs, and medical innovation.
In 2023, Sophia made the decision to step away from her national role with Essity Canada to devote herself fully to the growth and clinical operations of Lymph Connection. This significant professional transition marked a new chapter in her career, allowing her to bring years of national and international industry experience directly into a patient-centred clinical environment.
Beyond her work with Essity, Sophia served for many years as a director on the National Lymphedema Association board, contributing to advocacy, professional education, and initiatives aimed at improving awareness and access to specialized lymphatic care.
Sophia also works closely with the FOP International Board, supporting individuals and families affected by Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP), an exceptionally rare and complex genetic condition. In her capacity as a lymphatic consultant, she provides specialized guidance, education, and support to patients, caregivers, and families navigating complex medical and lymphatic challenges.
Her clinical expertise encompasses chronic swelling, lymphatic dysfunction, lymphedema, oncology-related lymphatic complications, and surgical recovery. She approaches every patient with a comprehensive understanding of their medical history, individual treatment needs, and long-term wellness goals.
Further demonstrating her dedication to lifelong learning and integrative healthcare, Sophia is currently pursuing her doctorate in herbal medicine, expanding her academic knowledge of botanical therapeutics and complementary approaches to health and wellness.
Today, through Lymph Connection, Sophia combines her extensive clinical background, healthcare leadership, international industry experience, and passion for integrative medicine to provide a highly individualized approach to lymphatic care.
Her mission is to advance the understanding and treatment of lymphatic conditions while empowering patients through education, specialized care, and compassionate clinical support.
Why Thunder Bay?
Specialized lymphatic care in Northwestern Ontario is nearly impossible to find, and too many people either travel hours or days for it… or simply go without. We’re here to change that! Nadine Kelly, a Thunder Bay based Entrepreneur, joined forces with Lymph Connection to bring this high-demand service to Thunder Bay as of November 2026.

Learn More About Lymphatic Therapy
Starting something new, especially when it involves your health, can come with questions.
We are here to help you understand what to expect, who lymphatic therapy is for, and how to choose the right first appointment.
-
Lymphatic therapy can support a wide range of needs. You may benefit if you’re experiencing:
Swelling or fluid retention
Post-surgical recovery (including cosmetic or medical procedures)
Feelings of heaviness, tightness, or congestion in the body
Slower healing or inflammation
General fatigue or a sense that your body feels “stuck.”
You don’t need a diagnosis to begin. Many clients come simply because they want to feel better in their body, and that’s a valid place to start.
-
We begin with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, and goals. This helps us understand how your lymphatic system may be responding and where support is needed.
From there, your treatment is tailored in real time. Lymphatic therapy is gentle and rhythmic, designed to encourage movement without force. Most clients find the experience calming, and many notice subtle shifts even after the first session.
You’ll also receive guidance on what to expect after treatment and, if helpful, simple ways to support your results at home.

All new patients start their care with one of our trained practitioners.
This allows us to build a strong clinical foundation, understanding your body, your history, and how you respond to treatment. It ensures your care begins safely, appropriately, and with the attention it deserves.
As your care progresses, we can guide you on the best path forward based on your needs and goals.
