Your Summer Lymph Guide
Settling Into Our New Home at 220 Victoria Street
Summer is officially in full swing, and we couldn't be happier to be spending it with you in our beautiful new home at 220 Victoria Street.
These past few months have been filled with welcoming familiar faces, meeting new patients, and settling into a space that truly feels like home. Our vision has always been to create a clinic where you feel comfortable, cared for, and supported from the moment you walk through our doors. Thank you for making that vision a reality.
As the weather gets warmer, your lymphatic system works a little harder. Heat, humidity, travel, road trips, flights, allergies, inflammation, and even spending long days outdoors can contribute to swelling, heaviness, and fluid retention. If you've noticed tighter rings, puffy ankles, or simply feel more sluggish than usual, you're not alone.
The good news? There are simple ways to support your lymphatic system all summer long.
Summer Tips to Keep Your Lymph Flowing
☀️ Hydrate consistently. Your lymph is made up primarily of water, so staying hydrated is one of the easiest ways to support healthy lymphatic flow.
🚶♀️ Keep moving. Walking, swimming, cycling, stretching, and strength training all help activate your muscles—the body's natural lymphatic pump.
🥗 Choose hydrating foods. Watermelon, cucumber, berries, citrus fruits, celery, and leafy greens all provide extra hydration and nutrients.
❄️ Beat the heat. Taking breaks in the shade, cooling off with a cool shower, or using cool compresses can help reduce the effects of heat on swelling.
💆♀️ Stay on top of your treatments. Regular lymphatic drainage sessions can help reduce congestion, improve circulation, and keep you feeling your best throughout the summer.
